Since its inception in 2002, the Yoga Nook has been a sanctuary crafted by Linda Apps, a dedicated practitioner and advocate of the Iyengar tradition. Our school is a beacon of Iyengar yoga, fostering growth, alignment, and holistic well-being.
“BKS” stands for “Bellur Krishnamachar Sundararaja,” the full name of B.K.S. Iyengar, the founder of this yoga style.
The Yoga Nook is run by Linda and a team of experienced teachers, who have trained under the guidance of Australia’s most esteemed Iyengar teachers or are in teacher training with Linda. Our school offers diverse classes tailored to suit practitioners at various levels, accommodating beginners, general students and those seeking more advanced instruction. Additionally, we provide intensive sessions, specialised workshops, and immersive retreats designed to facilitate and expedite students’ progress along the profound path of yoga.
