It was nice hearing Pixie’s voice. Well done on the podcast.
Pixie has been my teacher for almost 1.5 decades before I moved overseas. She has made a tremendous difference in my life.
Even when my life was challenging she was there with me in my practice.
We talk of lineage in Iyengar yoga and I very grateful to have Simon another student of Pixie’s as my mentor as well as Pixie. To listen to this podcast confirmed a lot of things for me and strengthened my connection. Thank you Linda for bringing Pixie to me for more then an hour even though I know live half a world away.

I really enjoyed this interview!
I have known Pixie for 30 years (and the Iyengar family for a few more), and seen some of the manifestations of her yogic path; but I liked hearing her put into her own words: how it was for her in the old days, how yoga has reached into the deeper reaches of her being, how her relationship to it has deepened and matured over the years… Very interesting.
(Only thing I would say in the to-be-improved category, is the clarity and volume of the recording)

Thanks Jenni, yes I’m learning as I go and hopefully the next one will be better sound quality!

Thanks for sharing this great interview Linda. I particularly enjoyed the depth of the discussion and hearing Pixie’s reflections on how yoga has influenced all aspects of her life.
Pixie spoke about how Mr Iyengar taught in a way that was transformative and invited his students to be the best they can be. I have not experienced Mr Iyengar’s teachings directly but I have been fortunate to be a student of Pixie’s over the past 10 years and i feel she completely embodies this approach.
Thanks again Linda and I look forward to the next podcast.

Thanks Natasha, yes I agree Pixie is a great teacher.
Lindsey Furtney says
Linda, thank you so much for this interview. Pixie was my teacher for a couple of years whilst I lived as an expat there in Sydney. I even had the privilege to begin and complete 7 out of 12 teacher training weekends under her tutelage. Her studio helped ground me so that I could stay calm (and healthy) for a family living 10,000 miles from home.
To listen to Pixie’s voice, her thoughts, and her take on our practice guided by your thoughtful questions, was a real delight. I listened as I walked in the frigid cold of a Northeast US Winter. It warmed my heart and my insides and reminded me why I practice.
Cheers,
Lindsey

Thanks Lindsey, that’s my hope with these interviews – to inspire us all and remind us of the value of our practice.
